Job Description: These hires will help support the future of Beauty Tech for L’Oreal, supporting the VP Augmented Beauty Formulation, and partnering with key stakeholders across R&I, Marketing, IT, Country Hubs, Operations and Digital (Media, Content, D2C, Indirect Ecommerce, Social Commerce and CRM). These are highly transversal roles, requiring one to wear many hats. Responsible for contributing to the Augmented Beauty Métier formulation panier with innovative product development for the skincare and haircare/hairstyling categories. Candidate will utilize knowledge and experience from a skincare/haircare formulation background in order to create complex, disruptive products, collaborate with the International device development teams and develop formulas intended for pairing with new diagnostics, devices or personalization systems for launch. Job Responsibilities: Contributes and creates new formula technologies from concept to product, focusing on consumer insights, need gaps and trends. This may include reviewing insights with DI/CMI and interpreting them for R&I and Marketing teams. Follows through on all aspects of beauty tech projects and services, working in close partnership with the Augmented Beauty Tech Teams to ensure implementation under tight deadlines. Is responsible for the formulation performance and risk analysis of beauty tech pilots and implemented services, focusing on quality, scale-up and consumer-centricity. Collaborates and works effectively in a team-oriented international environment (Beauty Tech Device Development Teams, Operations and Marketing teams). Communicates technologies effectively to different global functions within the company (DI/CMI, PPE, Marketing, etc.). Regularly reviews the market and industry (and adjacent industries) for new innovative beauty tech and personalization services. Develops a wide knowledge base of the competitor’s patent environment and helps to implement patent strategies to safeguard internal technologies for formulation. Job Requirements: Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge and expertise around devices, digital tools and analytics a plus. Multi-tasking skills to manage several projects. Legally eligible to work in the US on an on-going basis. Minimum BS or BA Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences / Drug Delivery, Physics or related scientific discipline with 5-10 years of work experience.
