Job Description: Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems for space within Honeywell Aerospace. As a Satellite Project Engineer, you will coordinate and lead the activities of engineering groups including System Engineering Groups, Integration and Test, and Software Integration of a Satellite Integrated Attitude and Orbital Control System (AOCS) for a constellation of satellites. The Integrated AOCS consists of vehicle sensors (e.g. Star Trackers, Sun Sensors, Rate Gyros, Magnetometers, GPS, etc.) On-Board Computers, actuators (e.g. Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Torque Rods, etc.) and associated software. This role also includes working with the program manager, contracts, subcontract management and integrated supply chain functions. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate activities of Engineering Groups including overall scheduling and budgeting Direct completion of proposals, costing and planning Work with cross-functional groups associated with the Integrated AOCS Program The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance. Job Requirements: Energetic, self-motivated and highly organized. Experience with electrical. mechanical design, industrial design, clean room work Technical degree 7 - 10 years’ experience in an assembly, integration and test role within Space or other Hi-Rel industry Experience with NASA, ECSS, CSA and/or NewSpace satellite verification and validation standards SAP or similar business software Project management (opening, monitoring, control, closure) of a technical product system from cradle to commissioning TeamCenter or similar PDM experience Passion to develop solutions and trouble shoot problems. Developing software and hardware for space and similar harsh environments. Experience working both independently and as directing a team in a hands-on role with a specialty in software, electrical and mechanical hardware design development and new product introduction. Experience with satellites or satellite products Electrical hardware and test equipment design, build and test experience Environmental testing experience (TVAC, Vibration, Shock, EMI, EMC, Mechanical properties, Radiation).
