Job Description: As part of the First Line of Defense, the CCO ensures the bank operates within its risk appetite by providing specialist risk and control knowledge and promoting ongoing risk and control monitoring as our Bank becomes simpler, more efficient, more customer-focused, and leaner. The holder of this role will also be encouraged to routinely step outside of their immediate remit to support the broader US CCO and Bank. This role will be report directly into Senior Risk and Control Advisory Lead Job Responsibilities: Be engaged in continuous regulatory meetings, exams and remediation, Provide area-specific input during development of risk-management and regulatory frameworks Partner with Operational Risk, Risk Stewards, and Internal / External Audit to ensure a comprehensive and accurate view of risk profile Collaborating with Risk and Control owners on a regular basis to enable them to articulate the risk profile of their process, promoting accountable risk and control decision-making. Contribute to the risk control assessments (RCAs) affecting DBS and Functions, including internal events and material control issues, Prepare materials for and present to management and governance forums to articulate the control environment and shape the associated narrative. (e.g. Board, EXCOs, Regulators) Provide specialist Risk and Control knowledge, guidance, and insights to stakeholders, Lead by influencing and persuading Senior Management and other internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate robust non-financial risk management Job Requirements: Ability to navigate the HSBC matrix and handle stakeholders across levels to improve NFR management Experience across Operations, Risk Management, and / or Audit roles requiring management of diverse risk types, including and not limited to operational, regulatory, market, traded, and credit risk Intellectually curious and abreast of latest trends related to Risk Management more broadly Ability to challenge the status quo, and find opportunities for continuous improvement or process re-engineering Ability to lead and influence senior management and regulators on a variety of risk-management-related topics, building and shaping narratives Thorough and able to work independently and distil complex, ambiguous information to create insights for leaders 10-15 years of financial industry / consulting experience, and some international experience preferred Job Details: Company: HSBC Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Plattsburgh, NY, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyoptions.com
