Job Description: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will manage the human resource function in the assigned division(s) to ensure Aaron’s is attracting, motivating and retaining a high-performing, diverse, and successful workforce. The position serves as a consultant to leadership on human resources-related concerns. The successful HRBP acts as a team member champion and change agent. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to leadership and team members that mirror the business objectives of the organization. Job Responsibilities: Conducts meetings, as needed, with respective business units to understand the people needs and partner to solve concerns quickly and effectively. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with business leaders to develop solutions to people strategy gaps. Providing total human resource functional service to the client. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership (i.e., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Train and monitor the use of Self-Service to ensure team members are coded (LOA, terminations, suspensions) correctly. Assists other Support Center business partners in resolving discrepancies. Manages and resolves complex team member relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations for escalated concerns. Assist the Human Resources Manager in building positive team member relations in the business unit(s). Support Performance Management program including performance and merit administration. Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Train and guide team members on career development program. Provides recommendations on training needs based on identification of skills gaps in business unit(s). Job Requirements: Familiarity for HRIS systems, preferably Ceridian and Taleo. Solid business acumen, consultation and relationship management skills. Ability to travel 50% of the time. PHR and/or SPHR certification a plus Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Qualification & Experience: 5 years prior HR generalist experience in retail or similar industry.
