Job Description: Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Human Resources Business Advisor. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Human Resources Business Advisor, the person in this role will support Research & Development Engineering functions with the ability to integrate macro-level HR-related priorities, strategies, and goals with business unit-focused initiatives and programs. Job Responsibilities: Takes ownership of difficult and complex recruiting issues. Provides HR and business unit expertise to the BU and the Talent Acquisition Team to effectively and efficiently fill unique roles. Provides advice and counsel on new hire offers and partners with the Team Member Relations team to resolve team member concerns, complaints. Develops and nurtures strong and productive partnerships with a diverse group of senior managers and executives. Integrate the short- and long-term needs of the business unit with HR/talent-related solutions. Proactively studies and learns the R&D business and the specific needs of each assigned business unit. Initiates action plans for creating effective partnerships with BU managers/leaders. Ad hoc projects as assigned. Uses Workforce Planning & Analytics (WP&A) tools (e.g. segmentation framework, headcount plans, etc.) to assist the assigned business unit in making workforce-related decisions. Helps business managers/leaders understand and build workforce plans, including identifying current state, future state, and gaps. Leads the education, implementation, and follow-through of all existing HR programs, including but not limited to: Performance Management (Driving Performance), Pay for Performance (merit, growth, bonus, spot awards/GEM), Training & Development, and Accelerating Talent. Job Requirements: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, possibly a higher percentage during peak periods or for critical business needs. Experience developing and delivering presentations to all levels of the company including top executives. Exceptional interpersonal skills: relationship management, negotiating, and ability to influence Strong ability to multi-task and problem solve. PHR/SPHR Certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills for all levels in the organization: the ability to work successfully with all levels of leadership and staff. HR Consulting experience supporting technical groups is strongly preferred. Experience working with Workday and Microsoft Teams. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or closely related field, or equivalent related professional HR work experience. HRBA experience providing consultation to Division executives on HR strategy.
