Aldi UK Jobs – Quality Assurance Assistant

Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you’ll assess our products to ensure they meet both legal and safety requirements before hitting our shelves. In addition to this you’ll organise panels for testing, co-ordinate meetings with suppliers and put in place the processes and procedures that help Aldi make well-informed purchasing decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage area of responsibility
  • Manage solutions to drive the efficiency of the QA processes and implementation across the business
  • Support the QA Manager by being proactive and responsive
  • General Admin duties, covering other QA Assistants where necessary
  • Undertake training to keep on top of legislation as required in your area
  • Working towards achieving quality assurance strategy goals
  • Manage the efficient and accurate flow of quality related correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing with internal and external parties
  • Provide timely support to the Buying teams for all Quality related queries

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational skill
  • Previous experience working as part of a QA team in a retail Head Office environment or in the QA team at a food manufacturing site
  • Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements and legislative requirements would be desirable
  • Able to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent
  • Min of 5 GCSEs A-C (including Math’s, English and Sciences) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
