Job Description:

Ameren Services provides administrative support and services to Ameren Corporation and its operating companies, subsidiaries and affiliates. Nearly 1,400 employees serve the company with business planning, communications, diversity, financial support, human resources, information technology, legal counsel, safety and supply services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Problem solving & analysis skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills preferred.
  • Good communication and computer skills. Ability to analyze and solve construction and maintenance related problems on a daily basis.
  • Adaptable and flexible. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Assist with the oversight for construction projects associated with Missouri Energy Delivery or Generation assets.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure they meet standards and associated designs.
  • Interact with vendors, contractors, and architect /engineering firms.
  • Perform administrative duties, i.e. contracts/specification development, submit requisitions for labor and/or materials, review vendor invoices.
  • Provide on-site field management and direction, and maintain safe work practices for contractors executing projects or maintenance work.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional financial acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple analyses simultaneously, balance details against “big picture” issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate well with others and comfortable working on ambiguous team projects.
  • Must be a current student pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required but a 3.0 or higher is preferred
