Job Description:
This job is a member of the Corporate Security Team within the Corporate Affairs Division. Responsible for conducting and coordinating investigations into narcotic smuggling events, narcotic related smuggling events and narcotic preventive strategies, while protecting the customers, employees and corporate assets of the airline.

- Becomes familiar with and enforce all government and airline security regulations.
- Develop and maintain a corporate anti-narcotic smuggling strategy document to guide AAs efforts and capacity to prevent team members, contractors and assets from being used to smuggle narcotics.
- In alignment with the corporate strategy document, partner with internal and external business partners to develop and implement anti-narcotics smuggling policies, procedures and countermeasures to detect and prevent narcotic smuggling across the AA enterprise.
- Represent AA as an expert in meetings with U.S. and foreign regulators, task forces, law enforcement, agency officials, other companies and trade associations.
- Prepare and deliver briefing reports related to narcotic smuggling trends, internal investigations, to leaders across the company.
- Conduct investigations, gather and prepare evidence to identify and eliminate insider threats related to drug smuggling and other criminal activity.
- Be the company’s narcotics smuggling subject matter expert (SME) by maintaining awareness of transnational narcotics smuggling incidents and industry trends.
- Build new and leverage existing relationships with U.S. and foreign law enforcement and industry partners.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bilingual with Spanish preference
- 10 years of experience in law enforcement, military service, or narcotic investigations
- Experience in conducting witness and suspect interviews
- Bachelor’s degree
- US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) component command unit counter-drug operations or counter-drug task force experience
- Preferred field of study: criminal justice
- 5 years of experience in law enforcement, military service, or narcotic investigations
- Ability to pass criminal history check to optain necessary access media to perform duties
