Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides an opportunity to develop enterprise risk management skills and knowledge within a pre-eminent asset management firm within the industry.
  • With Enterprise Risk spanning all aspects of the business, the role provides a unique opportunity to interact with key stakeholders across the firm and learn about BlackRock’s products, services and processes.
  • Provide support for the development of risk appetite and risk profiling.
  • Partner with colleagues across Enterprise Risk to synthesize risk reporting for oversight purposes.
  • Support the preparation for, and response to, oversight reviews of the prudential risk framework (e.g. internal audit and regulatory reviews).
  • Support enterprise risk assessments and documentation, including ICAAP and ORSA assessments, including the development and documentation of key risk scenarios and modelling for operational risk capital.
  • Partner with business and risk partners to understand and quantify the financial impact of stress scenarios.
  • Production of risk reporting for the Enterprise Risk team, Risk Owners, Committees and Boards.
  • Enable oversight, challenge and reporting to business areas on risk management, design and effective operation of controls, including Risk & Control Self Assessments.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate (verbal, written and presentation) across all levels within the organisation.
  • Proactive self-starter, ability to learn quickly and to take initiative. Enthusiasm and energy combined with a clear sense of how to “make it happen”.
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders to develop and implement solutions to reduce risks across the organisation.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • A degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a quantitative field.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify emerging risks, explain risk trends and to communicate results with impact.
  • Computer literate, with strong Excel skills.
  • Integrity combined with high personal and professional standards. A strong commitment to excellence and ability to get a job done in the face of adversity.
