Job Description:
The Technical Consultant is the trusted advisor for our clients that will provide technical expertise, implementation guidance, and best practices for deploying eligibility file solutions, including Federated Login. The Technical Consultant is a technical expert for the Implementations team that will work with other team members and collaborate across applicable departments to deliver high quality solutions and outcomes for our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of best practices and standards with other technical consultants to drive adoption and help with adapting business needs
- Work closely with Application Consultants to define client configuration requirements as it pertains to eligibility
- Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure that functional and technical deliverables are defined well and delivered successfully in support of client launches and post-launch transitions
- Understand and track individual performance metrics to stay on target for each client launch
- Adhere to the delivery of best practices and standards to support successful outcomes
- Mentor and support team members for technical expertise on more complex projects. Adheres to or improves upon the technical standards, supports the onboarding of new clients, and contributes to a shared library of technical solutions
- Provide technical expertise to assist with solution design, technical specifications, system configuration, testing, and rollout support of the eligibility solutions for client implementations
- Ensure that the project artifacts and lessons learned are archived accurately to allow for internal knowledge sharing and investment into the knowledge base
- Consult with clients on recommended practices and policies for how to best implement eligibility files
- Be an expert with SAML metadata, assertions, and configuration
Job Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with demonstrated experience in leading client meetings and delivering a formal presentation
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to analyze problems, document needs and communicate these needs to a variety of audiences
- Must have a proven ability to understand business requirements in a manner that can be translated into a solution design with a flexibility to adapt to new and changing information
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable experience required
- Minimum of 5-8 years related work experience and hands on work with related technologies (e.g. SQL development, file ETL, SSO (SAML), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Service), HTML, and Software
- Prior working experience with a scripting language such as shell/python
- Demonstrated ownership with driving process improvements and greater standards across projects
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to analyze problems, document needs, and communicate these needs to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated experience with developing programs and solutions using a waterfall and/or agile methodologies
- External/internal implementation project background preferred
- Ability and desire to mentor team members and establish a standard of excellence for the delivery of the technology solutions
