Cerner Internships Opportunities – Accountant I

Job Description:

As an Accountant I within Cerner’s General Accounting group, you will analyze financial statements for trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to ensure items are properly accounted for in accordance with GAAP. You will reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, record manual journal entries associated with assigned balance sheet accounts, and review purchase requisitions for proper accounting treatment. In addition, you will participate in periodic financial closings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
• Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business Administration
• At least 4 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education in one of the following:
