Job Description:
- The Senior Process Engineer participates on teams developing, designing, installing and starting-up new products, product improvements and technology upgrades for larger projects. Assignments emphasize the integration of knowledge in the specialist’s discipline. Plans and leads medium sized projects with minimal management, and participate on teams as an expert in the discipline.
- Working in a participative team based environment, using World Class Operations (WCO) processes and principles, the Senior Process Engineer participates on teams developing, designing, installing and starting-up new products, product improvements and technology upgrades for larger projects. Assignments emphasize the integration of knowledge in the specialist’s discipline. Plans and leads medium sized projects with minimal management, and participate on teams as an expert in the discipline. Demonstrates proficiency in analytical problem-solving using multi-discipline consultations. Evaluates and selects outside consultants used to supplement in-house staff in the specialist’s discipline. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of project scope definition and scope change management, development and management of schedule and resources.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to coach and develop self and others in the course of completing work assignments.
- Key advocate for Engineering innovation
- Support and lead project teams, Ops Services and WCO initiatives.
- Develop personal skills and mentor / train teams (Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational) on new techniques, etc.
- Embrace and champion CPM One Right Way process
- Participate in and share information on technical seminars for Maintenance and Operations in order to stay up to date on current trends, changes, and technological advancements
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the Corporate and project safety performance by supporting the safety programs and initiatives
- Deliver project safety performance objectives
- Lead cost savings initiatives and manage project spending
- Support environmental sustainability goal achievement during project planning and execution
Job Requirements:
- Engineering Degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years of engineering experience
- 2 years of experience with capital projects and capital budget process
- Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces,
- temperature variations etc.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Qualification & Experience:
- Good business judgment with ability to calibrate with business objectives
- WCO / TPM / Lean Manufacturing processes and techniques
- BSME / BSEE / BSChE from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated ability to achieve quality results and meet deadlines
- 2+ years of experience in Operations and 2+ years in Staff Engineering
- Problem solving, data collection, and analysis skills
- Experience in FDA and Regulated environments.
- Excellent presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven skills to effectively document and communicate technical information
- Background in consumer packaged goods environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP or equivalent, and utilization of Engineering Standards
- Understands Continuous Improvement Methodology
- Solid analytical skills
- Change management experience and discipline
- High level of initiative and ability to drive results
