Job Description:
- Manages, and implements global corporate volunteer program to encourage employee engagement, community involvement and enhance the impact of The Clorox Company in its communities. Manage global volunteer budget, oversee program/project development, promotion, implementation, communication and evaluation. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the Volunteer Manager’s work will position The Clorox Company as a premier corporate citizen and leader in community involvement. As needed, provide general support to Community Relations Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop signature volunteer program (sustainability, racial justice and equity)
- Manage Clorox major volunteer programs (e.g. MFEF, blood drives, department volunteer programs) and partner with leads on other established volunteer programs (JA, Science Education) and one-off volunteer projects
- Review and respond to volunteer requests from nonprofit organizations and employees
- Track employee volunteerism including hours, activities, board membership and interest
- Serve as the Company/Foundation’s representative at community organization meetings, events, committees and on boards and/or commissions concerned with The Clorox Company Foundation’s volunteer efforts
- Manage holiday volunteer projects (e.g. Adopt a Family, Toy Drive, Food Drive, Coat Drive, Thanksgiving Dinner, etc.)
- Develop and oversee Clorox Volunteer Recognition program/event
- Manage global volunteer program and budget; oversee program/project development, promotion, implementation, communication and evaluation
- Develop and oversee Clorox Volunteer Day/Week of Caring
- Partner with GIFT (workplace giving) ambassador lead on employee engagement
Job Requirements:
- Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant corporate philanthropic, nonprofit and volunteer management experience
- Experience with US and international corporate employee volunteerism (individual and group), including development, implementation, management and follow-up/evaluation
- D&I experience
- Sustainability experience
- Proven team player with an ability to lead by influence and build consensus across internal and external groups
- Ability to balance business interest and community needs
- Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- .Demonstrated ability to motivate employees
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, education, public affairs, social work, communications or related field preferred, but not required
