Job Description:
- As Associate Director, Data Modernization, in Marketing Analytic Insights, you would have the opportunity to drive transformational change working cross-functionally to impact core marketing analytics capabilities of the company. We believe data is a critical business asset that empowers strategic decision-making through analytics/ML/AI and provides key insights for marketing communications, sales planning, and innovation. Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and existing data architectures to develop and execute a strategy to enable advanced analytics and analytic speed in a cloud environment
- Communicate with and influence cross-functional business partners, marketing analytics / data scientists, IT, enterprise data managers, agencies, suppliers, and contractors to implement the design
- Develop and deploy a data platform that acquires, transforms, joins, and serves marketing analytics data for analytic applications
- Create and enable data applications that democratize the use of our data and connect with predictive tools across business units globally
- Continually expand and upgrade the data platform and analytics applications that are built upon it
- Take on end-to-end ownership of data quality across the full data life cycle – from data ingestion, through processing / harmonization, and activation
- Collaborate with data engineers, IT, and vendors to establish and resource these processes and define a migration strategy for existing solutions
- Work with cross-functional business partners and vendors to develop a data infrastructure and applications that democratize and enable global analytics.
- Drive definition and adoption of the architecture framework aligned with strategic objectives and select the platforms (both cloud and on-premise), products, and vendors to be used.
- Identify, refine and oversee the data capture, pipelining, validation and reconciliation activities needed to enable this initiative
- Plan and coordinate the multi-year roadmap for data integration, application, and support activities, translating requirements between business partners, data scientists/engineers, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Define the data transformation/ harmonization logic to sync with corporate master data and marketing data taxonomies
- Develop processes to streamline data issues and their resolution
- Manage priorities and expectations of business partners
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors or higher in an applied quantitative field (Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, etc.). MS/MBA/PhD in quantitative field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in business-facing data analytics roles with BS degree; or 5+ years, with MS/MBA/PhD.
- 3+ years as data product manager or leading data lake development and applications
- Implementing large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data
- Experience with data application development lifecycle management
- Using a wide variety of marketing and CPG data sources and vendor data ecosystems, including exposure to media and retail data
- Familiarity with marketing analytics applications such as marketing mix models, digital analytics, in-market test and learns, optimization, and forecasting
- Must have work experience with
- Development of cloud-based data lakes and applications
- Solving business problems using data & analytics tools and developing those tools
- Automation, data integration, data warehousing
- Hands-on data wrangling with modern workflows and libraries in Python/R or cloud platforms
