This is an exciting role for our new store experience – we’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager of Footwear.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will have the exciting challenge of creating an athlete first culture of world class, hassle free, engaging service. From defining what that experience is, to training and developing the best teammates to execute. You’ll directly manage a specific team and have a dotted line responsibility for managing teammates in other areas of our store.
Job Responsibilities:
- Validate schedules for the assigned department(s) and monitor payroll on a daily basis to ensure payroll plans are met, including scheduling associates to complete non-selling activities as needed
- Other tasks/responsibilities as business needs dictate
- Drive shrink results through compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures
- Ensures that the Apparel Departments meet all merchandising standards including, but not limited to: merchandise exposure, visual, pricing, signage, etc.
- Directly manages a team of associates assigned to the Apparel Departments (i.e., Footwear and Apparel) and has a dotted line responsibility for managing associates in other areas of the store
- Hold associates accountable for meeting established operational guidelines, brand standards, customer service expectations, and company policies
- Manage associate performance matters, including appraisals, promotion recommendations, and discipline
- Review candidate applications, interview, hire and on-board/train hourly associates
- Manage the sales performance to meet sales and margin goals
Job Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
- World-class customer service skill and interpersonal/communication skills
- 1-3 years Retail Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager (Big Box preferred) or Retail Store Manager experience required
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Flexible availability – including nights, weekend, and holidays
- Affinity for developing talent
- Attention to detail
