We are looking for a PR Manager to join our team who loves great TV, especially unscripted titles. You will join as a member of the communications team in a role that will lead on regional strategies for Media Network titles (Disney Channel, FOX, National Geographic) across EMEA. You will also have direct responsibility for UK comms too. This role will also focus on Disney+ campaign support for European Originals.

Working closely with a Senior PR Manager, your role will be responsible for PR campaign planning for linear titles, management of EMEA markets on activity to support each title and relationships with the US team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • In our team collaboration is key, you will be working with marketing and social, corporate communications, all US based teams in LA, New York and Washington DC, independent production companies, agents and personal publicists to maximise opportunities and devise fully cohesive and innovative publicity campaigns.
  • National Geographic Society and Nat Geo Partners will require comms support as and when required in this role including management of our Explorers and events
  • You will speak to a wide range of UK media, but namely TV and consumer press and lead by example to the wider team
  • This role also includes supporting high profile and key priority content from our Disney+ European Originals (unscripted titles)
  • You will devise and create publicity strategies both for the UK and EMEA, implementing targeted campaigns for priority programmes, channel brands and moments in time across The Walt Disney Company’s channel portfolio/media networks that help to deliver against the overall business strategy for Television across Europe & Africa. Recent campaigns have included The Walking Dead, Sharkfest and Car SOS.
  • This role also involves some internal comms including briefing notes for executive and contributing to town hall content
  • You will be accountable for Affiliate communications (partners through channels), to ensure we are optimising our affiliate network correctly while managing any issues relating to our media networks and affiliate partners

Job Requirements:

  • You must be a self-starter, team player with a genuine enthusiasm for communications and public relations
  • You have worked with a range of stakeholders, globally – with demonstrable experience in a similar role from working in a large, matrix’ d organization
  • A strategic comms mindset – you look at the bigger picture for a title or brand campaign and think about how to get the best comms outcomes.
  • You are confident owning channel branded campaigns end to end and are highly self-motivated with the ability to manage campaigns with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable creative and strategic thinking, with a keen interest in and understanding of the media and broadcast industry
  • You are passionate about great TV – across genres, and are able to channel this into your work being consistently curious and looking for ways to innovate
  • You are capable of managing of multiple projects simultaneously and remain highly focused and flexible whilst working under pressure
  • You have experience handling senior stakeholders with a corporate team, and owning a crisis – big or small and have been involved in reactive planning or crisis handling
  • You excel at TV publicity, with a clear understanding of what’s needed to secure brilliant outcomes for a campaign. With that, you have an established UK media network.
  • You think about evaluation at the start of your campaign, set clear KPIs that measure your work and take learnings onboard.
