Job Description:

The Senior Manager is responsible for managing product categories, setting strategic vision for the business and managing the licensee portfolio to meet or exceed fiscal revenue targets and growth objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify growth opportunities, bringing on board new partners where necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Contributes to the strategic planning process. Develops strategies and business plans by category, retailer and property
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats, and dynamics
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of licensees including contract negotiation, problem solving, review of product line planning, and marketing and retail activities
  • Works closely with and foster collaborative relationship with Franchise Licensing, Product Development, Finance, Integrated Retail, Corporate
  • Alliance, Ad Sales, Content Partners, Franchise Marketing, and Citizenship
  • Fiscal responsibility for assigned categories include annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting
  • Provides Category business vision and leadership, set strategic direction and manages Licensees portfolio
  • Works with Licensees, Integrated Retail and Product Development teams to plan product assortments that meet retailer needs by distribution channel
  • Supports internal initiatives generated by the Franchise Marketing and Integrated Retail teams
  • Analyzes account business performance and develops growth objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Position may require some travel
  • At least 5 yrs. experience at the Category Mgr./Sr. Mgr level within Disney or comparable organization
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker, entrepreneurial
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Requires knowledge in basic finances, supply chain management, category management, Marketing, sales
  • Capable of working independently and managing a variety of initiatives / opportunities simultaneously
  • Strong relationship building skills, flexible and adaptable; patient; able to collaborate, influence, and persuade at all levels of an organization, both internal and external
