Job Description:
Responsible for performing a combination of Shipping Clerk, Receiving Clerk, and Material Handler duties and tasks. Prepare, schedule, and process both hazardous and non-hazardous shipments and all associated documentation in accordance to State, Federal and International regulations. Load and unload trucks. Accurately receives shipments into facility on a timely basis (interplant, vendor and/or sales).
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for physically loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
- Receive inventories into SAP.
- Responsible for safely operating Powered Industrial Trucks, including performing daily pre-trip inspections.
- Prepares required paperwork for all receipts (bill of lading, manifests).
- Responsible for the preparation of shipments. This includes Hazardous and non-hazardous shipments, assuring that all proper documentations and forms are utilized.
- Responsible for shipping and receiving deliveries via UPS, FedEx, and freight lines using SAP, TMC, etc.
- Read requisitions, tickets, packaging labeling, skid and drum labeling, packing lists, and bills of lading to accurately select materials for movement and QC approval.
- Responsible for the clerical portion of shipping goods to vendors using SAP and Excel spread sheets, maintaining multiple shipping/ receiving related Excel spread sheets, and maintaining documents in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Label all inbound items with proper SAP labeling.
- Responsible for adhering to all dock safety measures.
- Responsible for contacting and communicating with carriers to set up inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Audit inbound deliveries.
- Input accurate data into Shipping/Receiving inventory systems.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations a plus.
- Experience with hazardous goods a plus.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Prefer experience in SAP.
- Powered industrial truck experience preferred.
