Job Description:
Position Summary Quality Operations Technician is responsible for conducting quality control inspection, audits and compliance checks according to Good Manufacturing Practices. This includes incoming components and manufacturing floor operations (compounding, filing, utilities and warehouse). This position will support deviations, issue management processes and provide guidance on quality and operational procedures to the plant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting daily GMP checks for compliance in the plant
- Conduct product, process and document reviews & audits against standards, compliance and safety
- Provide on-the-job training to Operations on basic in-process tests (e.g. weight checks, torque tests)
- Evaluate components and 3rd party products for the adherence to specification
- Escalate and report out of spec products or processes to management
- Provide guidance on quality and operational procedures to the plant
- Set line Standards and last pallet reviews
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience a plus
- Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations and training is a plus
- Ability to execute sampling process and read/interpret instructions
- Ability to execute process and GMP audits in the manufacturing areas
- Good communication skills
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience of working at GMP-regulated facility is preferred
- Ability to stand while working for extended periods of time
- Ability to utilize standard tools and equipment (such as scale, fill weight, cap torque, viscometer, pH meter, pull force, seal burst, and other relevant equipment)
