Job Responsibilities:

  • Creates analytical, visual models to demonstrate all potential risk to the enterprise/business unit.
  • Oversees and manages the creation and maintenance of standard and ad hoc reports by ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness for scheduled requests.
  • Conducts quantitative analysis to research, identify, and analyze risk at the enterprise and business unit level.
  • This role is responsible for the design, creation, and execution of quantitative research and reporting pertaining to risk at the enterprise level.
  • Prepares and builds comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Provide quantitative comparisons of data points using advanced statistical analysis and traditional statistical hypothesis testing, communicated in a manner understandable to business stakeholders.
  • Partners with stakeholders to gather data, perform risk assessment while utilizing all available resources to encompass all potential risks.
  • Develops knowledge on standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the model validation/risk analytics field.
  • Performs review and validation of non-complex models or aspects of models used throughout the organization for capital stress testing, risk measurement, pricing and profitability, and management decision-making.
  • Designs, creates, and maintains ongoing business unit specific reporting on risk pertaining to policies and procedures.
  • Conducts Model Risk Management.
  • Conducts data extraction using SQL, business query interfaces, and other business tools.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience with pricing or reserving models, data extraction, relational database concepts and query tools required.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred. CAS Exam 5 or 6 preferred.
  • Experience with predictive, catastrophe, or capital model preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 3 years experience in data analytics, qualitative analysis, process improvement, and project management required.
