Job Description:

  • Performs insurance underwriting analysis of claim data, loss forecasts & loss layer analysis; ensure accurate investigation, processing & recovery of settlements. Assess the risk of loss to company property. Manage property claims, acting as liaison between business units, insurance adjustors and other outside agencies. Review policies for propriety, including property, excess liability & workers’ compensation, nuclear property & liability, directors & officers liability, aircraft & hull, fiduciary liability, executive excess liability and the wrap-up program; and assists in the design and placement of insurance coverage.
    Provide management and oversight of Company’s captive insurance company, including responsibility for budgeting, financial reporting, administrative oversight, coordination of audits and actuarial reviews, interface with business unit/subsidiary management and regulators, development and implementation of all required processes and SOX compliance. Responsible for and/or participates in development of captive insurance programs, including program design and premium rate making.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates audits and actuarial reviews, develops and implements required processes and ensures plans adhere to applicable regulations and SOX compliance
  • Reviews insurance and indemnification clauses in contracts
  • Assists in the design and placement of insurance coverage
  • Acts as a liaison between business unit representatives, insurance adjustors and other outside agencies to manage property claims
  • Participates in development of captive insurance programs, including program design and premium rate making
  • Represents the Company on industry, professional boards, committees or panels, as well as internal groups
  • Provides management and oversight of Company’s captive insurance company
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Performs budget, analysis and financial reporting of applicable plans
  • Analyzes, recommends, implements and maintains insurance contractual requirements
  • Act as primary liaison on insurance requirements for the regulated and non-regulated business units, inclusive of participation on due diligence teams

Qualification & Experience:

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 7+ years
  • Master’s Degree
