Job Responsibilities:
- Develops realistic action steps, timetables and resources estimates for projects
- Meets attendance and storm duty requirements and has the ability to work extended hours
- Must have the ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings, contract documents, proficient in the use of a computer and utility safe work practices.
- Onboard/Train contract vendors on FPL work practices, policies and safety guidelines.
- Coordinate and directs Contract Construction Leads, provides coaching and evaluates performance
- Completes project closeout activities ensuring SOX compliance including: as build drawings, BOM reconciliation and closeout documentation
- Provides contractor and engineer performance evaluations
- Maintains day-to-day site coordination requirements to integrate transmission and substation construction projects
- Ensures contractor safety participation through attendance and review tailboards, field risk assessments and oversees observation reviews
- Ensures timely resolution and constructability of field compliance issues and actively supports continuous improvement
- Reviews all project bids and ensures all required project permits are in hand, prior to the commencement of the project
- Maintains thorough review and processes all project invoices
- Supports Contingency Planning and Reliability Risk Analysis for various projects.
- Solicits project bids for various scopes of work and secures Purchase Orders utilizing Predetermined Source Contracts
- Ensures contractor safety participation through attendance and review tailboards, field risk assessments and oversees observation reviews
- Ensures timely resolution and constructability of field compliance issues and actively supports continuous improvement
- Reviews all project bids and ensures all required project permits are in hand, prior to the commencement of the project
- Maintains thorough review and processes all project invoices
- Ensures projects are completed safely, within the required schedule, budget, and in compliance
- Oversees implementation of technical, regulatory, environmental, and corporate compliance initiatives
- Maintains day-to-day site coordination requirements involved with various transmission and substation construction projects which consist of but not limited to breaker replacements, switch replacements, transformer replacements, new substation builds, ampacity increases, new feeder positions, site expansions, etc.
Qualification & Experience:
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 7+ years
