Job Description:
Join our shipping & receiving team and use your knowledge to ensure you properly receive incoming material; maintain accurate accountability of receiving, additions and deletions for materials from the record. Prepare product for shipment according to specifications and/or customer requirements. Transport material internally.
Execute standard procedures and assist Logistics team to fulfill tasks on time, every time
Provide ideas on how to improve processes in a strong continuous improvement environment
Assist to build a best-in-class service culture by driving positive Customer satisfaction
Job Responsibilities:
- Pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
- Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
- Assist in the daily store operations to ensure critical parts availability, material handling
- Follow standard work and operating procedures to ensure daily store operations duties are fulfilled and goals are met
- Execute the standard procedures and assist Logistics team to fulfill tasks Assist to drive a continuous improvement culture on the logistics process Assist to build a Customer Satisfaction and Service culture
- Maintain accurate internal, manual, or computerized record keeping systems
- Operate hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
- Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping
- Prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents manually or by computer
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents
- Record shortages and reject damaged goods
- Assemble containers and crates
- Record contents manually or in computer system
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in operating SAP
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Inventory and parts picking, receiving, and issuing parts
- Some experience in store/material handling
- Good oral and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and an initiative to learn work processes
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- High School Diploma
- 3+ years of experience in shipping and receiving
