As Assistant General Counsel, you will be responsible for the legal needs of two global businesses within Honeywell’s Advanced Materials division with combined 2021 revenues totaling over $1 billion. The Life Sciences, Protective and Industrial (LPI) business is an industry leader in health care packaging and life sciences. The Electronics & Chemicals (E&C) business is a key supplier to the semiconductor industry. You will join a global team of legal and contracts professionals supporting a division that exceeded $3 billion in revenue last year. The role will require you to anticipate and mitigate legal issues within the business and to develop strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce areas of regulatory and compliance risk. You will also be involved in merger and acquisition projects as well as government relations initiatives designed to shape new markets for our innovative and diverse products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage outside counsel across a broad spectrum of legal issues
  • Act as trusted advisor and business enabler
  • Advise senior executives and their direct reports on legal and regulatory issues
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation throughout the business
  • Facilitate digital transformation and maximize legal operations capabilities
  • Provide day-to-day legal counsel to the LPI and E&C businesses
  • Support merger/acquisition/divestment activities

Job Requirements:

  • A law degree from an accredited law school
  • A license in good standing from a bar in any state
  • 12-15 years of experience practicing law, whether it be at a law firm, a corporate legal department, state or federal government, or any combination thereof
  • Positions of leadership in any organization, legal or otherwise.
  • Experience with merger/acquisition activities, particularly due diligence
  • Ability to influence at varying levels of the organization
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industries
  • At least five years of experience dealing with Food and Drug Administration regulations, including 510(k) notifications, Drug Master Files, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices
