In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate operating procedures for new products and components
  • Originate and refine manufacturing and inspection work directions
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal organizations to resolve product design and development issues, manufacturing problems, and acceptance test failures
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner, and work in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment
  • Collaborate with Design Agencies to influence product design and ensure manufacturing processes and procedures
    yield product meeting acceptance requirements for functionality per design definition
  • Apply electrical engineering theory, mathematical methods, physical science, and advanced engineering technologies to accomplish engineering objectives
  • Conduct development and qualification testing on complex electronic assemblies to refine designs and qualify products to stringent customer requirements
  • Perform technical support functions to meet delivery schedules and cost objectives, and ensure product quality
  • Identify and implement improved processes and procedures that reduce cost, increase product quality and reliability, and enhance the relationship with the customer

Job Requirements:

  • Two (2) or more years of Electrical Engineering experience or related technical activities, such as electronic product design and development, manufacturing, and testing.
  • US Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US Dept of Energy “”Q”” level security clearance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate ideas to other team members and customer representatives with varied technical backgrounds
  • Current DOE “”Q”” or DOD TS clearance
  • Proficient using engineering test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, function generators, etc
  • Experience with analog/digital/RF systems, incorporating electronic design and packaging for harsh environments, including qualification of designs to NAP401.1
  • Two (2) or more years of Electrical Engineering experience or related technical activities, such as electronic product design and development, manufacturing, and testing
  • Five or more years’ industry experience in electronic product design, development, manufacturing, testing, and trouble shooting
  • US Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain required US Dept of Energy “”Q”” level security clearance
  • Two (2) or more years of Electrical Engineering experience or related technical activities, such as electronic
  • US Citizen (capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOE Q level security clearance)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited Engineering program, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from an accredited program
