Job Description:
The incumbent will be a senior member of the Markets and Securities Services Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Change Management function and will be responsible for the development and implementation of a change risk assessment capability. This will be focused on the global change portfolio to ensure the NFR and Conduct Risks impact of the changes are understood, and appropriate controls are implemented before go-live. The role will be based in Edinburgh where many of the material projects for the business are being run from.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure a robust Markets and Securities Services risk governance framework.
- Support the Head of Change Risk Management in implementation of Change Risk Assessment Framework.
- Identify key risk themes for strategic remediation within the Global Book of Change.
- Regularly review the business risk management priorities, activities, structure and resources, optimally aligning to business needs and risk appetite.
- Actively support the well-being of the team, investing in their skills, and ensuring diversity and inclusion is supported at all times within the team and across the NFR function.
- Ensure excellent communication across MSS and the Global Functions.
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of Global Markets or Securities Services products, a benefit.
- Use judgement and experience to determine how to handle complex requests and varying timescales; make judgements quickly and consistently.
- High levels of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously.
- Interpersonal skills: proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group.
- Understanding of technology trends in financial markets and experience of working with technology teams.
- Experience defining and implementing target operating model, process controls and MI
- Ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language.
- Strong risk / control understanding and experience of working with large change and transformation.
- Relationship management and collaboration skills: ability to form effective relationships and influence and advise senior business stakeholders.
