Job Description:

The Azure Security Operations lead will work within the Azure Cloud Services team and be responsible for making sure all aspects of the platform are secure and all operational risks are managed. Reporting to the global Azure Platform lead and engaging with Microsoft, Chief Controls Office, Cyber Security teams, ITSR, Azure Engineering, Azure Operational team and customers to ensure that we are providing a platform that is secure-by-design and compliant with HSBC mandatory policies and security standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and maintain Business continuity plan for the Azure platform and carry out regular tests in line with HSBC standards Business contingency standards
  • Ensure the Azure Foundation Platform conforms to all regulatory requirements
  • Incorporate Security patterns into Azure Cloud Services functional patterns
  • Gather requirements and provide continuous feedback loops between Cyber security, Controls office and the wider Azure Cloud Services team
  • Ensure that Azure foundation platform conforms to HSBC Cyber Security standards
  • Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities
  • Accountable for ensuring that robust SIEM (logging) and Monitoring processes are in place
  • Develop and promote the reuse of patterns
  • Accountable for Azure foundation platform conformity to HSBC Operational Risk standards
  • Support the Service Delivery Manager to implement a 24 x 7 follow the sun support model
  • Maintain and manage all customer facing Security information and knowledge bases
  • Provide Management reporting to ensure data driven discussions for continuous improvement
  • Support the Cloud Controls Office and Internal audit functions with requests for information

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to quickly acquire new skills
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management and developers)
  • Good leadership and teamwork skills – Works collaboratively in an agile environment with Stakeholders to deliver the service
  • Experience dealing and responding to IT Audit
  • Experience in dealing with multiple support groups that contribute to creating a service
  • Keen problem solving skills (Analytical and Creative)
  • Experience working in a security related discipline
  • Demonstrable Risk Management knowledge
  • Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a cloud security/architecture team in an enterprise
  • Have experience managing stakeholders
  • Security professional certification
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • Awareness of data security and regulatory requirements within financial services
  • Experience working with one or more Cloud service providers
  • Experience working with controls, regulatory and audit functions
