Job Description:
The Associate Director role assist Relationship Directors (RDs) in building affiliations by identifying and meeting existing and prospective customer needs. This role is responsible for identifying product and service opportunities, carrying out customer research, financial and credit analysis and helping the RM prepare for customer meetings. Other fundamental parts of the role include co-ordination of credit applications or renewals and risk escalation management. In the absence of the RM, the role holder will act as the focal point for the relationship, products and services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acting as a key point of contact to customers to provide ongoing day to day support
- Help, develop and provide guidance to Relationship Support Analysts and coordinate workflows as appropriate
- Ensuring consistent application of Group Policy and adhere to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimize business and reputational risks
- Providing support to the Relationship Directors, including on more complex credit / lending cases to enable them to meet customer needs
- Detailed customer research, financial and credit analysis
- Preparing financial proposals, presentations and undertake analysis with lending decisions for both existing and prospective customers
- Supporting on day-to-day activities including client planning, pipeline management, coordination with product partners
Job Requirements:
- Indepth working knowledge of interpreting financial data and deal completion (credit & lending) in relation to commercial customers with business turnovers of at least £50million
- Experience of planning and prioritising your own time effectively and adhering to strict deadlines
- A track record of gaining an understanding of customers’ needs and delivering excellent customer service
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
- It is essential to have experience of working directly or indirectly in Commercial / Corporate Banking environments, i.e. a commerical bank or similar supporting services
