Job Description: This position has daily exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, equipment movement hazards and dangerous chemicals/solvents. There is weekly exposure to dirt and occasional exposure to electrical shock. This is a fast paced work environment with significant pressure Job Responsibilities: Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is always clean and neat Assigns tasks to bakers upon arrival Reports to work when scheduled and on time Assigns duties to part time crew as needed. Creates second production schedule for additional product, reviews with department employees, and assists in production as needed. Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible Reviews day of week for gross potential escorting them to the products they're looking for making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests Reviews the product status and creates closing list for evening crew. Reviews future sales weeks and plans for events/production Trains new employees. Ensures display case product is rotated and replenished Loading or unloading heavy items Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store. Assists customers by: (examples include) Organizes and helps where additional production is needed for the day. Securing products that are out of reach Reviews daily production list with department employees and assigns tasks for completion Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress. Checks orders for the day and sets up a timeline and production schedule Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call including taking product orders Performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience. Handles and satisfies customer issues Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines Ensures department standards are met Job Requirements: Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be physically able to exert up to 100 pounds of force (shared team lifting) occasionally; exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches and more than 20 feet with or without correction, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision Qualification & Experience: High school or equivalent experience and over one year up to three years of similar or related experience.
