Job Description:
- A key role of the food team is to prepare and serve food, including our world famous meatballs and hotdogs, to both our customers and co-workers. Together we strive to deliver a prime food experience for the customer during their shopping journey and ensure our shoppers and their stomachs are truly satisfied.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting other areas of IKEA Food where needed to ensure annual goals and targets are achieved
- Preparing, presenting and serving the highest quality food to both our customers and co-workers
- Operating the cash register for purchases
- Complying with strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks
- Ensuring your assigned area is always clean, tidy and presentable
Job Requirements:
- An energetic approach as this department can become extremely busy
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a fasted paced kitchen environment is highly regarded
- A safe mindset, and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive heavy lifting
- As our store trades 7 days a week, you have the ability to work a mix of shifts (7am – 10pm), as well as 3 out of 4 weekends a month
- Strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do
