Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Analyst is to provide a broad range of analytical, reporting, accounting and taxation tasks for the Payroll department The Senior Analyst reviews complex payroll, benefits and payroll tax related issues with an emphasis on analytical expertise and ensures year to date balances are in sync between third party business partners and the general ledger. The Senior Analyst ensures the integrity and reliability of payroll and payroll taxes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of Payroll System tax postings
  • Perform in-depth research, analyze, and resolve complex employee tax issues, inquiries and various reporting requirements as well as address tax issues that may arise during payroll processing with high sense of urgency
  • Support the corporation’s multi-state & global payroll tax compliance, in adherence with federal, state, and local laws, including close monitoring of expatriates/inter-country transfers
  • Perform reconciliations for past payroll tax filings
  • Create reports/queries to meet department and Company needs from SAP Ad Hoc reporting
  • Keep current on tax releases to ensure timely updates to SAP
  • Perform payroll tax general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis
  • Prepare postings and reconciliation for all international payrolls
  • Develop, test and document new procedures, enhancements and modifications to support the operation and maintenance of the payroll system and accurate payroll tax treatment, including testing of tax tubs prior to being moved to production

Job Requirements:

  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel) suite
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Understanding of internal controls, payroll accounting and reconciliations
  • Three (3)years of experience in Payroll, and/or Public Accounting
  • Ability to research payroll tax related changes
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Current knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll/income tax law
  • Experience in handling Federal and State audits and inquiries
  • Knowledge of payroll and related HR subject matter
  • Detail oriented in creating and automating procedures
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • CPA
  • SAP experience
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and supervise others
  • Proficient with report writing software
