Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Senior Analyst is to provide a broad range of analytical, reporting, accounting and taxation tasks for the Payroll department The Senior Analyst reviews complex payroll, benefits and payroll tax related issues with an emphasis on analytical expertise and ensures year to date balances are in sync between third party business partners and the general ledger. The Senior Analyst ensures the integrity and reliability of payroll and payroll taxes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy of Payroll System tax postings
  • Perform reconciliations for past payroll tax filings
  • Create reports/queries to meet department and Company needs from SAP Ad Hoc reporting
  • Prepare postings and reconciliation for all international payrolls
  • Keep current on tax releases to ensure timely updates to SAP
  • Develop, test and document new procedures, enhancements and modifications to support the operation and maintenance of the payroll system and accurate payroll tax treatment, including testing of tax tubs prior to being moved to production
  • Work closely with 3rd party business partner to ensure proper remittance, reporting and treatment of payroll taxes
  • Maintain data integrity through a process of continuous audits, pro-active issue resolution and communicate ideas that contribute to the tactical development of maintaining tax compliance
  • Interpret year-end Domestic & Global Relocation tax calculations processed by third party business partner and ensure accuracy and compliance with multi-state taxation methodology and coordination with any international third party payroll agencies
  • Perform payroll tax general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly and annual basis

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to research payroll tax related changes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel) suite
  • Understanding of internal controls, payroll accounting and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of payroll and related HR subject matter
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Detail oriented in creating and automating procedures
  • Experience in handling Federal and State audits and inquiries
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Three (3)years of experience in Payroll, and/or Public Accounting
  • Current knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll/income tax law

Qualification & Experience:

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and supervise others
  • CPA
  • SAP experience
  • Proficient with report writing software
