Job Description:
Prepare, review, monitor or maintain contracts and ensure compliance of applicable rules and regulations. Research and prepare reports as needed. Serve in an intermediate-level advisory capacity for all contract matters within Area Public Sector Services.
Job Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Works with District Managers and others to resolve noncompliance issues.
- Researches, compiles, and exchanges contract information, as requested.
- Evaluates existing municipal contracts for new business opportunities and revenue growth.
- Participates in strategic planning for municipal business within Area.
- Ensures compliance and stays abreast of all laws, rules and regulations applicable to the Area’s municipal operations, and adherence to overall
- Corporate governance and business integrity standards.
- Manages contract negotiations and drafting of municipal contracts and amendments.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information regarding contractor performance, contract expenditures, etc. for reporting to management, team members, and customers.
- Monitors contract performance, submittals, and expenditures for compliance with contract requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Contract management experience may be required.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Business Administration, Public Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High
- School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: four years of relevant work experience in system and contract management with an emphasis on process improvement (in addition to education requirement).
