Job Responsibilities:
- Recommend actions for fine tuning and capacity planning of existing systems
- Interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and addresses impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure, including the installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases
- Work directly with users to prioritize requests and frequently update users to make certain that they are informed of progress and estimated delivery timeframe
- Provide administration, maintenance, configuration and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications
- Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems
- Collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
Job Requirements:
- VMware experience in an Enterprise setting (migration, implementation, performance optimization); experience supporting Server VM’s
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
- Ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members
- Minimum three years of recent experience senior level systems administrator experience, preferably in large Enterprise Level Data Centers
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience Redhat Server 7 & 8 administration, Linux patch management, ability to automate common tasks via scripting Python, Perl, bash (Ansible); minimum 3 years of experience in Administration, maintenance, configuration and ongoing support of Red Hat IPA Identity Management and Satellite platforms
