KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Data Architecture to join our Global Data Strategy and Operations team which is part of KPMG International.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the current architecture, including data transformation and ETL practices and develop action; create and manage business information models in all their forms, including conceptual models, logical models, relational database designs, message models and others
  • Lead and participate in the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including data models, following the firm’s information security, data safety and encryption protocols
  • Provide input on the overall Global Data Strategy Program for the organization, ensuring specific technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the firm
  • Ensure best practices regarding the design, implementation and operational standards
  • Lead discussions with business stakeholders across the Global Data Strategy & Operations organization, regarding the functions and technology for enabling relevant data capabilities
  • Identify the best design for a data solution for data supply chain projects, factoring in performance, cost effectiveness, availability and operability

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience working within data architecture or similar organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience with Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Lake and Analytical platforms; experience with technologies like Azure Data Bricks, Informatica MDM, Collibra is preferred; ability to understand the complexity of a matrixed professional services firm / partnership; proven ability to work in a matrixed manner; ability to maintain a flexible schedule due to travel, deadlines and/or duties outside of normal business hours due to global nature of the role
  • Strong technical knowledge across various disciplines to resolve complex infrastructure integration issues and interface with multiple vendors to coordinate resolution; strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously as well as ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and team work; strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans
