Job Description:
This role sits within the Business Support Group (BSG), managing capability / coverage aligned support staff, across multiple locations. The role reports into a Business Support Performance Leader and demands a highly professional, absolute team player, who has the ability to engage, build trust and network at all levels.
Positively adapting to change and continual process improvement, the role requires exceptional stakeholder relationship management and therefore highly confident communication and influencing skills are vital.
Supporting the BSG and wider business strategy and having a sound understanding of KPMG to support stakeholder priorities, the role ensures operational excellence is part of day to day working and standards are upheld. Providing opportunism for growth, engagement and collaboration, enabling support staff to flourish and excel in their work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with BSG Business Partners and wider Performance Manager group to ensure effective resourcing
- Conduct and follow the full performance management process for all appraisees
- Recruitment and induction of new staff, including reviewing CV’s, conducting assessments and interviews
- Stakeholder management in relation to assigned appraisees
- Maintain and manage Retain
- Ensure effective communication channels are established with assigned appraisees, utilising Teams channel, regular calls and huddles
- Fully manage an allocation of 38 capability / coverage aligned support staff within BSG, focusing on service delivery and operational excellence.
- Engage team in Corporate Responsibility activity, instil team work and raise funds for KPMG Charity
- Effectively manage resources, monitoring coverage, holidays, allocations and sickness
- Organise and manage student work placement activity
- Identify and manage issues as they arise, namely conflict, conduct, attendance, health or other HR issues
- Conduct 8 weekly conversations with appraisees and record activity and notes on My Performance system
- Contribute to initiatives and/or projects as determined by the Leadership team
- Attend capability / coverage team meetings, providing overviews and updates
- Engage with BSG Business Partners on a consistent, regular basis
- Input into calibration sessions at key points within the year
- Maintain regular connectivity with associated stakeholders within an office location e.g. Office Senior Partner
- Manage the joiner / leaver process for assigned appraisees
- Undertake formal Goal Setting, Interim Talent and Year End conversations
- Manage ICT requests
- Manage performance gaps through Reaching Performance Plans
- Maintain accurate records, taking detailed notes and recording actions
- Oversee the learning and development of assigned appraisees including coaching and identifying training opportunities
- Attend and input into BSG calls and meetings
- Support on the implementation and delivery of the annual salary review to timetable and budget
