Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Director of Product Management, Homes & Villas is the product leader for Homes & Villas by Marriott’s guest-facing digital products (HVMI.com plus future channels), and has end-to-end accountability for driving demand (conversion, bookings & revenue) for the Homes & Villas segment. This role leads a team of product managers, with indirect responsibility for multiple cross-functional product development squads, who collectively shape the HVMI.com experience.

Within the team, the Senior Director works closely with the other squads, particularly marketing and HVMI’s supply teams. This role also serves as the bridge to Marriott’s Flagship Digital products (Marriott.com, Bonvoy native app), and is responsible for coordination with the larger Digital and Technology organization.

The ideal candidate is a proven innovative leader with large global brands that can motivate large teams and groom high-performing up-and-coming leaders, has deep eCommerce and vacation rental industry expertise, experience managing large transactional websites, understands the value of and can apply good merchandising techniques, demonstrates analytical acumen, and has a passion for the travel business and delivering great products that consumers love.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Three or more years’ experience leading direct reports and cross functional teams with P&L responsibility.
  • Effective written and oral communications skills, with sensitivity to global communication needs
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, think creatively, and satisfy Internet speed-to- market requirements
  • Proficient with web/app/api technologies, and user interface design
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in Adobe Analytics, A/B and multi-variate testing with deep understanding of best practices in user experience, anaytics and drivers of conversion
  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ten or more years’ experience in product management, strategy, or related function
  • Demonstrated success developing products that consumers love and managing large-scale transactional digital platforms is required
  • Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of specific business priorities
  • Ability to execute budget-sensitive product and product marketing plans with tight timelines
