Job Description:
As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with a high-level independence, developing plans and related processes with department leader in alignment with broader business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web or mobile app environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative vision
- Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.
- Responds to, solves and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.
- Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by: − utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes. − establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others. − allocating own time effectively to meet goals in a manner that does not disadvantage other associates or groups. − contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc.).
- Advise on and implement product positioning, consumer insights and usability studies, and offline/online Marketing strategies into effective user interfaces.
- Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.
- Directs others on creative strategy and brand standards ▪ Develops creative digital solutions that deliver on business objectives
- Collaborate with Digital Experience and Digital Growth teams and internal and external developers to ensure aesthetics also are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards
- Drives the design and front end development for websites, product graphics, web logos, social media graphics and banners, static and rich banner ads, email campaigns, and email templates across all VO brands. While some projects may require directing external resources, the role is expected to be hands-on.
- Understands both Vacation Ownership and Interval businesses and programs
Job Requirements:
- Must have a portfolio with resume to be considered
- Able to present concepts and lead internal teams to the correct solution.
- Must know Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent (InDesign is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Deep knowledge with Web design processes
- A team player with a great attitude
- Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective design.
- Must understand a variety of email marketing tools ▪ Must know HTML, CSS and JavaScript (jQuery is a plus)
- Experience in web marketing/web design with a strong knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, FTP, web design and development principles
- Must understand how WordPress works (Content and templates)
- Minimum 8-10 years successful professional design experience, preferably at a digital agency or in-house Web team for a product-driven business.
- Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to design and communicate within a team environment
- Management experience in a creative environment
