Job Description:
The Real Estate Asset Management Department is hiring a Property Manager – National Portfolio, located in the Toronto office. The role reports to the Senior National Asset Manager. The successful candidate will partner with Franchising, Finance and Accounting, Construction, Field Service, etc. and be accountable for managing property management matters for the national portfolio of restaurants and the tenant portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares correspondence relating to landlord approvals, lease obligations, repair and maintenance work, etc.
- Liaises with landlords and restaurant owners within a specific territory on matters such as site maintenance, lease concerns, landlord approvals
- Administers workflow management system, including intake and output of inquiries from restaurant operators, Field Services and landlords
- Works closely with Asset Managers, Reinvestment Team, Finance and Accounting
- Solicit landlord approvals and arrange for landlord sign-off of permit authorization letters
- Reviews and verifies lease requirements for Reinvestment projects
- Will have shared responsibilities with property management team on a national basis.
- Additional projects and responsibilities, as modified and developed from time to time.
- Compiles data for national reporting to business units.
- Review and approve invoices according to standard policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Well-organized, with excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills to manage multiple sites at any given time, with tight deadlines – while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adjust quickly to change.
- Bilingual in French and English is not mandatory, but the role may have some responsibility of Quebec properties, in addition to other geographies.
- 2-3 years of experience in property management or lease administration in commercial real estate, with a strong knowledge of leases
- Excellent computer skills and technologically savvy.
- Critical thinker and ability to escalate when assistance is needed in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and lead all areas of responsibility, with minimal supervision and to impeccable professional standards
