Job Description:
- Currently, Meijer is looking for a remote data entry pharmacy technician-in-training. The position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy promotes patient care. This position is intended to be a work-from-home role for the foreseeable future but may require in-person attendance at the Grand Rapids corporate campus location for training, meetings, or eventual in-office work. Candidate does not need to hold an active pharmacy technician license at hire but must be able to obtain one within 6 months of hire.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient information
- Effective communication skills and agent of change
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize the workload
- Promoting pharmacy initiatives
- Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system
- Adjudicating insurance claims
Qualification & Experience:
- Desktop device will require direct connection to a wired router
- Home high speed, password protected internet of at least 100 Mbps
- Private workspace defined as a room separate from other individuals in the home, with door that closes to maintain patient privacy
- Become registered in state of practice within 6 months of hire
- If you live alone and have no visitors during working hours, the private workspace can be defined as your personal home/apartment
- Private workspace with minimal distractions
- Employee will provide picture of workspace at on-boarding and annually thereafter for leadership evaluation and approval
- Home office furnishings will not be supplied by Meijer
- Reside within 75 miles of the Grand Rapids corporate office
- Proficient typing skills
- During working hours, employee does not simultaneously provide care to other household members and is free of distractions to his/her attention or duties
- Meijer to provide computer, keyboard, mouse, bio-metric reader, headset, and monitor(s)
- High school diploma/GED
- At least 18 years of age
