Job Description:

The Buildings and Grounds Finance Manager reports to the Director of Buildings & Grounds. Responsibilities include helping to develop systems to manage the whole life cycle of physical and infrastructure assets; manage the department budgeting processes; work directly with the hospital budget office and finance department; implement financial controls; manage the department call center – Operations Office; oversee customer feedback ; manage the department procurement process;

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of 4 clerical staff in day-to-day operation
  • Prepare, monitor, and reconcile department’s annual operating budget of $33 million in revenue and expense; analyze variances and periodically report on financial performance to Director and Senior VP for Administration
  • Represents the department on various operations improvement groups.
  • Timekeeper for exempt employees.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide operations, administrative and financial assistance to the managers and foremen of the department, including implementation of systems for continuous operations improvement
  • Prepare, monitor, and reconcile department’s annual capital budget in excess of $12 million; prepare quarterly projection on project completion date.
  • Responsible for the financial management of the department, including projections of revenue based on construction and/or renovations, annual expense budgeting, and analysis of performance
  • Collect and compile the necessary data for the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual department performance reports for senior management using customized database files (MAXIMO,
  • PEOPLESOFT, UNIFIER, VISION), using database to query reports.
  • Interface with Finance Department for projections and reconciliation.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years prior supervisory experience.
  • BA preferred. Associates degree required; an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience may be acceptable.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in asset management.
  • Proven experience with budgets in excess of $15 million and multiple accounts
