Job Description:
As a Director, you’ll lead a team responsible for providing financial and operational measurement services and structure and lead large, sophisticated work across one or more business unit(s). You will effectively synthesize measurement results to improve business outcomes, support decision-making at executive levels and enable process improvements. We’ll count on you to grow and evolve the business partner relationship and service management profession to maximize effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains relationships and serves as a trusted business advisor to leaders, clients, internal risk partners and others. Creates partnerships across the company to ensure methodologies and assumptions used are aligned with corporate practices.
- Drives the development of strategies for the business unit. Influence’s business partners to understand, align and deliver measurement work that supports business objectives and priorities.
- Leads team through building business intelligence applications using statistical, database and/or general programming languages and tools.
- Directs the leveraging of technology for data management, report automation and/or ad hoc reporting for end users.
- Leads a portfolio of special projects for both team members and members from other departments.
- Directs team responsible for crafting, packaging and communicating financial and operational measurement work by developing new statistical and visual solutions and using appropriate medium for relevant insights.
- Plans, advises and ensures execution and delivery team’s work which may span more than one project or focus area. Owns the development of the scope, risk/control matrix, project timelines and assignments.
- Leads training on report preparation and data base access.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of department processes through ongoing initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lead various financial and operational measurement projects.
- Advanced knowledge of business policies and procedures, customer service concepts and practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of and working knowledge to build and maintain ad hoc and standard reports, including data visualization and business intelligence tools.
- Ability to conduct data management and extraction of data for functional and operational measurement.
- Strong communication skills for interactions with others.
- Ability to understand business processes and the data produced by them.
- Ability to understand functional and operational measurement needs, analyze data requests, and interpret business problems into solutions.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints.
- Capable of developing distinctive and understandable data visualizations.
- Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
- Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics or related field with post-graduate studies preferred.
