Job Description:

Responsible for evaluating the security of our IT infrastructure and applications, by performing vulnerability assessment and penetration testing initiatives, and partaking in the design and performance of application security posture evaluation efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform various types static and dynamic code reviews.
  • Operate a hands-on role involving penetration testing and vulnerability assessment activities of complex applications, operating systems, wired and wireless networks, and mobile applications/devices.
  • Engage in security research to remain current on vulnerabilities and testing tools.
  • Conducting internal and external penetration tests of information systems using commercial and open source exploitation tools.
  • Develop and maintain security testing plans and automate penetration and other security testing on networks, systems and applications.
  • Create detailed reports that clearly communicate vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, and remediation steps.
  • Develop custom exploits and related tools in support of authorized penetration tests or cyber threat emulation exercises.
  • Conduct wireless security assessments.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
  • Conduct web and mobile application penetration tests.
  • Conduct internal configuration and vulnerability assessments of information systems using both commercial and open source assessment tools.

Qualification & Experience:

  •  Minimum 3 years’ experience with security incident and event analytics. Experience with commercial and open source vulnerability / penetration testing tools required. Must have network and web-related protocol knowledge such as TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols, etc. including knowledge of security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top Ten).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience. One or more certification preferred (GCIA, GCED, GCFE, GCTI, GNFA, GCIH, CND, ECSA, OSCP, OSEE, OSCE, GCFA, GREM, CHFI, CEH, GPEN, GWAPT, GISF, GXPN).
