Job Description:
As a team, we provide a transport solution to support the needs of our customers, factories, co-packers and some of our suppliers across Nestle in Market (NiM).
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to Nestlé, driving a problem-solving mentality within the Scheduling Team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, support and develop a team within the Scheduling department.
- Build solid relationships across the total Nestlé Supply Chain team.
- Drive Competency through Nestle Continuous Excellence principles and devising training plans to advance the Scheduling Team.
- Build relationships with our haulage partners, driving initiatives to support both service and cost requirements.
- Work with the Scheduling Team capturing all NIM primary transport demand and building work schedules for own fleet and 3rd party drivers, ensuring we deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers whilst supporting our cost, efficiency and environmental aims.
- Represent the transport operation with our internal/external customers and stakeholders across NiM
- Generate and lead development projects to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability, and reduce costs.
Job Requirements:
- To be successful in this role you will ideally come from a Supply Chain or scheduling background, Preferably with a knowledge of UK transport legislation.
- Days within the team can vary, with deadlines needing to be achieved so communication and influencing skills are key to leading longer-term Projects where a keen eye for detail and strategic thinking is required.
