Job Description:
The Junior Front End Developer is responsible for building & implementing front end A/B tests using the 3rd party testing & personalisation tools across web & app. The role plays a critical part in supporting the conversion rate optimization of the websites .
The role is for a front end development working within a testing platform to temporarily change features and/or content on the website. This is to test the impact before the features are added to the development roadmap. In addition front end development is used to create personalized experiences for different customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical feasibility and time estimations on the prior to test builds – suggesting alternative solutions when relevant
- Continuously drive improvements in the velocity of testing programme with improved processes and reusable templates
- Technical point of contact for third parties and internal teams – managing technical queries with tests to resolve any issues.
- Identifying limitations in testing tool & keeps up to date with industry standards via benchmarking – working with the Optimisation Manager to give influence third party roadmaps for improvements
- Responsible for maintenance of training and testing tool documentation
- Training new team members – ensuring they understanding testing best practice and personalisation campaigns
- Demo tests to key stakeholders prior to release for feedback
- Completing all necessary JIRA tickets for UAT process
- Identify better ways of using the testing tool and communicating any new features available to the Optimisation Manager
- Build strong relationships with internal teams including marketing, digital and ecommerce – understanding their roles and responsibilities to ensure tests built support business strategy
- Thoroughly review own and peer’s tests – minimizing issues picked up by QA team
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate strong listening & communication skills. Ability to understand the test requests, take clear & detailed notes, asking questions to clarify requests during early stages, providing regular updates during campaign builds & post implementation
- Time management is key. Prioritising between various test campaigns, managing stake holder expectations, communicating realistic timelines & flagging any issues at early stages is key.
- Ability to work in an agile, fast paced environment
- Positive can-do attitude and a real team player is a must
- Display a confident and professional style at all times
