To drive the product strategy and delivery of the Bags & Small Accessories department, to reach the full potential and profitability across all channels Agree and deliver the departmental sourcing plan, optimising the best route for product in line with the business area strategy (in conjunction with Merchandising and Quality). Job Responsibilities: Ensuring clear plans are in place to deliver this growth across the department & contribute to wider division Capacity planning determining the production capacity required to meet changing demands for the product Applying a broad knowledge of the current competitive market place and trends to drive the direction of the department Work closely with the Merchandiser / Senior Merchandiser to plan mixes, growth & reduction where appropriate to maximise profit Understanding the Business Strategy and how that impacts your Department New Look brand and sub-brand strategy to product and range decisions within own area Understanding of the Department’s current Customer insights, Market Share and opportunities Determining a pricing strategy and price point policy for ranges in conjunction with the Merchandiser Works within the Open To Buy (OTB) targets to maximise the customer proposition across channels Working in conjunction with Marketing and Visual Merchandising to identify opportunities for your department Responsible for developing & implementing a customer focussed strategic vision for the Bags & Small Accessories range Job Requirements: Excellent presentation skills Strong negotiation and influencing skills Ability to line manage, engage and develop a Team Ability to initiate, build and maintain strong relationships with Design, Merchandising, Garment Tech and Suppliers Strong experience of operating in an unstable economic climate Clear focus on business priorities Customer knowledge Proven ability & clear understand to develop, implement and drive new strategy to increase profitability across the department & engage key stakeholders Excellent interpersonal / communication skills Creative and dynamic approach to find new ways of working to improve efficiencies Previous experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer within a major retailer / department within New Look Proven track record within the Accessories and Bags market Job Details: Company: New Look Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, UK Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyoptions.com
