Nordstrom Rack Application – FLEX Sample Assistant

Job Description:

The Sample Assistant will support the photo studio operations for Nordstrom and the online store. The Samples Assistant will be responsible for the prepping and organization of merchandise for the daily shoots, based on volume needs. Flexibility in hours during peak periods will be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support for entering product descriptions, including measurements, content, and care details.
• Accurately enter data into studio tracking tools
• Detailed and professional preparation of samples for product and on figure photography. Preparation primarily involves steaming and ironing samples.
• Team with Assistant Stylists, Stylists, Sample Coordinators, and Producers to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain and organize the styling area and supplies.
• Ensure adherence of company and studio policies.
• Maintain an organized system of sorting samples by size or specialty type for studio.

Job Requirements:

• Skilled in building and maintaining positive working relationships
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Complete knowledge of fabrics, care, and proper handling
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Flexible, and able to respond immediately to business changes and priorities.
• Demonstrated understanding of high-end retail and the service environment of Nordstrom
• Proficiency with knowledge of Mac OS and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Exceptional steaming and ironing skills
• High volume, e-commerce assisting experience a plus
