Job Description:
- Provides HR Generalist support to Old Navy Region team, in partnership with the Director, Field Human Resources. Assists in the creation, coordination and execution of HR initiatives and programs. Supports and executes the Old Navy people strategy. Responsible for providing direct HR support to assigned region, including Regional Director and District Manager population, in addition to store leaders.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses performance concerns/opportunities to identify root cause, offering effective and holistic solutions to improve performance in partnership with DM population for Grade 17 and below field leaders and in partnership with RD for the DM population.
- Analyzes, benchmarks and reacts, where applicable, to financial, operational and HR metrics to drive results.
- Partners with brand leaders and HR team to manage engagement and retention initiatives.
- Partners and advises on region and district people initiatives in support of the brand and regional people strategy.
- Partners with cross-functional partners (Compensation, Learning & Development, Employee Relations and Recruiting) to develop solutions that address organizational needs with a focus on effective and efficient delivery and execution
- Responds appropriately to employee questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Conducts high-risk investigations in partnership with Employee Relations as needed.
- Enhances field leadership effectiveness and capabilities by assessing individual development needs and partnering effectively to build development plans.
- Assesses store environment during store visits and explore solutions with management for improvement, making recommendations to DM.
- Partners with HR Operations in the coordination of activities and communications related to the annual performance management process.
- Partners with Regional Recruiters on all aspects of the recruiting process including: sourcing, screening, interviewing and candidate selection, as needed.
- Responsible for the direct development of and consultation to Flagship Human Resource Managers in assigned region.
- Partners with L&D on execution of training plans and delivery of region specific trainings
- Provides direct coaching and consultation to RD and DM population to build and develop greater organizational capability.
- Guides effective succession and retention/stability efforts.
- Responsible for creating and implementing a regional people strategy to support the brand and regional business goals.
- Supports and leads, where appropriate, the investigation process of medium and high risk concerns, analyzing organizational health issues, consulting on solutions/follow up.
- Leads and supports the execution of annual HR processes including: talent review, performance planning, annual performance reviews, EOS, and compensation review.
- Support the effective on-boarding of new leaders to the organization, focusing on DM population.
- Guides, trains and directs business partners and District Manager’s on the execution of HR policies and processes to ensure appropriate legal (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.) and corporate compliance (Gap Inc. COBC, P&P).
- Plays a lead role in multiple HR functional responsibilities for the brand.

Strong execution acumen - Ability to comfortably and effectively interact with and influence leaders
- Demonstrated decision quality; ability to use sound judgment in assessing risk and determining the appropriate action
- General knowledge of HR practices including benefits, compensation, employment law, performance management, employee relations policies and procedures, learning and development and recruiting.
- Flexibility and adaptability; ability to successfully work under pressure, respond to shifting needs and manage multiple tasks at one time
- Ability to effectively partner with supervisor and HR team members.
- Ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data
- Presentation and facilitation skills; comfortable in front of small and large audiences
- Well developed interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to partner and build relationships with field leaders and cross-functional business partners.
