Progressive Insurance Jobs – IT Director

Job Description:

As an IT director in our Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) organization, you’ll lead the Enterprise System Continuity (ESC) infrastructure products and environments including mainframe, hybrid cloud, client, database, and telephony support. You’ll be responsible for the oversight of multiple data centers geographically dispersed and in-region including partner services with AWS and Azure Cloud Centers, as well as regional and branch office infrastructure activities for 300 locations countrywide. Preferred candidate will live in the Cleveland, Colorado Springs, or St. Petersburg area; relocation assistance is available. Travel maybe required once we are ready to open our offices.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to play a key role in broader ETS organization’s managing very large-scale partners providing carrier, computer, network, cloud, and storage products/services including cloud hosting services with AWS and Azure
• Embrace and drive a culture of inclusion with the ETS employees and supporting functional areas and fostering an organizational culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration
• Experience in strategic planning to advance the capabilities of the organization such as utilizing new technologies, delivery methodologies and promoting a culture of continuous learning
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum six years of work experience managing multiple IT functions such as: software development, systems engineering, project management, service management, data management, network management, architecture, computer operations, ecommerce, or other specialties may be accepted
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective IT strategies, business plans, and policies for their functional area. Ability to consistently demonstrate leadership and the ability to focus the organization on key IT activities that have a significant impact on the company
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Business Management) and a minimum four years of work experience leading and managing multiple IT functions such as: software development, systems engineering, project management, service management, data management, network management, architecture, computer operations, ecommerce, or other specialties
• Experience managing large scale partner B2B services which provide adjunct data/system services that augment internal application/services.
• Experience forecasting/managing Operational budgets more than $200m annually
