Job Description:
The Sales Senior Business Analyst position plays a key role in our efforts by providing data and decision support to the Royal Caribbean Sales organization. Sales Analysts are responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to Sales performance, promotional activities, and decision support as well as financial analysis and management. The Senior Analyst role is responsible for the analysis, reporting, and interpretation of sales data and presenting information and recommendations to sales leadership on both regular and ad hoc bases. The role will identify regional sales trends, forecast sales, lend analytical support to sales leadership in setting incentives/goals, and calculate and monitor performance to ensure sales effectiveness. The role works in conjunction with Revenue Management and Marketing to ensure cohesiveness with corporate goals and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the gathering, analysis, interpretation, and effective presentation of data. Analyze sales and revenue data to identify trends (i.e., regionally, by product, by account, by market, or by segment) and present corresponding recommendations through both integrated dashboards and presentations to all levels of the department.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure that departmental policy changes or projects that will affect processes are identified and solutions are created.
- Develop, implement, and enhance high impact business reporting and operational procedures. Develop financial models and projections to address complex business problems.
- Provide analytical support, track and report against departmental performance as well as specific strategic and tactical initiatives and make recommendations on improvements in a timely and efficient manner.

- Provide information and recommendations to leadership on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- Develop productive working relationships with all Sales Managers, Directors and Executives as well as peers and other colleagues within the department and cross-departmentally, reviewing commercial risks and opportunities to develop and implement our sales strategy accordingly.
- Analyze and disseminate competitive data regarding products, services, and pricing to identify marketplace trends and innovations.
Job Requirements:
- Very strong analytical skills to interpret data trends: defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s degree (MA/MS) preferred.
- Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in data and analysis.
- Ability to collaboratively design, build, and review reporting for significant business initiatives and performance tracking.
- Knowledge of the AS400 or equivalent mainframe reservations system strongly preferred.
- Experience working closely with non-finance functions such as sales & marketing and heads of department together with an ability to clearly communicate ideas and insights to non-finance
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and PowerBI/Tableau required.
- Ability to effectively present information to executive management and public groups.
- Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external / internal customers at all levels.
- Two to four years related experience in financial / business analysis or related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related quantitative field from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience required.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
